yesterday went to catch Starstruck with jeng yi! my partner for all things artsy-fartsy :D

and it was AWESOME! the emcees were surprisingly engaging ^^. and all the performances were wonderful. kudos to piano, guitar, harmoc ensembles, band, string and dance! i think my favourite for the night was when por una cabeza was played for a piano-violin duet, but all my classmates did fantastic for their parts too. watching ping ping and alvin play their harmonicas was really funn; it was my first time watching harmoc ensemble perform and at first it was funny cos the way they held the harmoc to their mouth and swayed around, it looked like 20 people were simultaneously having toothaches or something. but the tango song was great :)
the ballet dance was really just wow, cos all of them were super graceful. plus when joanne did her split it was really cool^^. and i love the songs guitar ensemble played, especially the UP theme song! the other two songs were super nice too; really dreamy quality. germaine kept tempo for the second piece; hit the thing like a pro like that^^
i love nj at night, it truly is a beautiful campus. :) i wish they didnt have to demolish the oasis; where am i gonna do late night studying nearer As?!

made the decision to take my exam in feb next year. yup, 2011. kinda disappointed with myself that i wont take the risk and 'rise up to the challenge' as celina's gp tutor would say, but the more conservative/sane part of me knows that i cant afford to jeopardise As. blame it on the me last year, i guess.

on thursday went to have dinner at jumbo with parents and parents' friends and children of parents' friend :) its always good to see perry, celine and casey cos we only meet once or twice every year. this year it was even better cos we havent seen perry for like 2 years, and he went and dyed his hair so now he looks like a hairdresser beng, but really he's a 'seebeh' nice dude. celine and casey were awesome too, kept playing mahjong with elise the mahjong tai tai :)

anyway after dinner went their house and its the first time i went in; it was a freaking hotel please?! really REALLY awesome. but the best part was not the house, but their two shitzus Lucky and Lexis which are FREAKING ADORABLE, cos they were all dressed up. that fact was sort of marred when Lucky kept trying to pull off Lexis's kimono; apparently the dogs were in heat. it wouldntve been so bad, except Lucky is 7 years old and Lexis is 2 years, so that's like a 49 year old man trying to copulate with a 14 year old girl. the adults were calling Lucky cheekopeh, paedophile, DOD (dirty old dog) and all sorts of funny names, but the smart dog ignored them. honestly i didnt care so much, its animal instinct anyway. besides, they were too cute to be left alone:D by the time we left it was past midnight and we were dead beat, but it was awesome fun:) i LOVE cny.

plus i found that its not really that difficult to be friendly and to carry a conversation. the line between social and anti-social is but a single sentence.


OK that's all this week:) oh yeah i also LOVE having my cousins come over; now theyre still young theyre lotsa fun, more fun than me. after dinner went downstairs and played alligator and had lotsa fun:) although we probably pissed off a whole bunch of neighbours with our screaming.

and while we were down there messing around with the senior citizens exercise corner there was a grandma with this super ADORABLE toddler; everything that we were doing she wanted to do as well! like her grandma would be carrying her, and i'd be doing some exercise, and she'd stare over for 10 seconds or something, then start reaching over and making some baby noises until her grandma brought her over; her grandma would say "see jiejie do, see jiejie do" but once i let her try that exercise she either stares at me or she's so small she cant do it no matter how much she pushed. then i'd go do something else and the whole cycle would repeat. ^^ she's like a little togepi. cute attack!
