happy dragon year to all chinese out there!
not a lot of visiting for my family, but then again tts not necessarily a bad thing.
after all tt gluttony and merrymaking yesterday, i could do with a break.
the two kilos i lost from staying in hall has returned like some joyce-seeking magnet.

i know i made some resolutions during the english new year, but those are broken alr so imma try again.
1. take control of your life. simple as that, and dont let nobody drive it for you.

im lovin my chinese new year much more than the english one though!
i think cos dad is home this time. or at least all of us are on holiday and get to pig out on delicious goodies and watch movies on hbo for free courtesy of starhub for a longer period of time.
inception is a great movie for a new beginning, cos the movie ends with you feeling more profound and intelligent than before you watched it :)
and even though the first dayy of new year began with mom slamming the car boot door on my head and causing a tender orbahkah to form on my noggin i still have a good feeling about this dragon year!

today morning we went to macritchie for a little refreshing topo'thenewyeartoya walk!
although the main agenda behind that was for an awesome roti prata breakfast @ Casuarina Curry.
The good folks at the Casuarina have been making nearby property values skyrocket since imtoolazytofindoutforyoubutiknowitsalongtime ago.
as a dedication to this awesome year i ordered something other than plain ol' kosong prata.
BANANA CHOCOLATE! muhahahaha.
its something like this but bigger and better looking and absolutely divine.

for 3.50, it may sound like a ripoff but i can tell you i can put chocolate sauce and banana into a microwavable prata and it wont taste the same.
elise and mom following in my stead got masala thosais which were divine AND filling (although elise who paid 1.50 more for hers with cheese was definitely ripped off)
came home, had a good snooze on this delightfully chilly dragon's head day, finished the last of grandmas' delicious new year noodles and soup and am now attempting to deconstruck francis fukuyama's end of history reading for p.science, which is currently still beyond my comprehension. oh wiki~~
