just read finish "of mice and men" by john steinbeck. ^^ initially i didnt understand what the plot of the story had to do with the title, but i think i sort of figured out a little bit; he's using the title to play with his characters, not really with the plot. or maybe i havent figured that part out yet. anyway, for example there's george, who is a mouse of a man in stature, but a good man in character. then there's his lowIQ travelling companion Lennie who is a big strapping guy, but as timid as a mouse. and then there's Curley who think's he's a macho man, when he's actually such a little rat in personality.
i like Slim, though. he sounds like a real intelligent dude.
"Guy don't need no sense to be a nice fella. Seems to me sometimes it jus' works the other way around. Take a real smart guy and he ain't hardly ever a nice fella." - Slim.
kinda sad George had to kill Lennie in the end :( didnt expect that ending.

learnt a lot about myself today doing street sales alone, most of them bad. but hey, everytime you learn something about yourself its a good thing right? ^^ really have to buck up for yfc; i always feel very bad when i can't sell as much as the others; it feels like im a leech :( no one likes to be the bottom-feeder.
okok. i got my stereotypes in order again (yeah, so im stereotyping now, what to do? i gave up trying to avoid that great pink elephant prancing aroung in a tutu in front of me. )
in general, i dislike cbd-area people. but tanjong pagar-area is better than raffles place. there were some really nice people, like the lady who bought 8 ms at one go (woohooo~) and the dude who told me to do my sales in the shade and drink lotsa water after he bought one ( i felt like telling him to eff off and shut up unless he wanted to buy my whole basket, but clearly i was delusional then :D thanks for your kind thoughts, mister!)
i dreamt yesterday night, that i was somewhere i could see a thousand stars.
