today was amazing.
had aikido grading in the new hq..which is technically not new at all.
its in this old run down building, Poh Leng building which i used to pass on the bus ride home from cedar.
kinda funny, how i passed it a hundred times before but never thought that id have anything to do with that run down place, with its cobwebby windows and broken panes.
but i love it all the same, i think the place has character :)
unless i had to go to hq at night. then ill probably have to carry a parang and a clove of garlic around. the whole place is dark alleyways and weird temples and abandoned industrial buildings. 0.0
anyway, i digress.
think ive probably managed to scrape a pass for grading; no major mishaps.
well, there was the one when the other guy tripped over my prone position on the floor and fell over me like some mortifying session of taupok, but that wasnt my fault.
he squashed my glasses. -.- but thank god i was prone, not supine. i'd probably have severe head trauma if i was facing upward. as it was, i felt kinda bad cos he must have felt a million times more nervous afterward.
got lucky again this year; partnered dione this time! last year was nao. its always good to do with a familiar face. ^^
this darn cursor must be high, it keeps jumping around.
sometimes, the comments some people make can just blow my mind away; i have no idea how to respond. so heads up: if you ever say something to me and i dont answer back immediately, chances are im running after my brain. its nothing personal.
then again, sometimes the comments some people make are so dumb, the opportunity cost of answering is really too high.
haha absurd, ive got no right calling people stupid when im the lame one who cant make them shut up./
pingping wants to give FREE PHOTOSHOP LESSONS! though not exactly for altruistic reasons, more of so that people will stop pushing all the art and pub work on her. or so she says :) i dont care, ill take what i can get. must really learn how to do some form of digital design if i wanna be a designer; im useless to her now cos i have zilch experience on the computer. but even so i guess itll have to be after A Levels. oh wells ^^
yesterday went to NUS open house with hong hui! a bit of a wasted trip cos we only went to view the exhibition booths without going for any of the talks, but we heard the talks were pretty redundant. nevertheless, learnt more about the architecture course. can you imagine me as an architect? i cant even imagine myself as an architect. AWESOME.
well, it all boils down to As first i guess.
