yesterday was a good day:) got to go to the singapore garden festival foc cos i was helping out with greenlink! thanks ming xiu once again for asking me to come with you ^^ sherlene was there too to help out, and it was great to see her again and ask about all the post jc stuff. its awesome to listen to her talk cos its easy to see what her passions are, and how her actions directly translate.
sgf was awesome! although we had to man the booth for 4 hours straight till ten pm the time passed so fast i was quite amazed. i guess what helped was that our booth was a game booth so its more satisfying when people leave your booth happy. and i now know by heart a few more birds spotted in nj: eurasian tree sparrow, javan mynah, oriental pied hornbill, barn swallow, black-naped oriole, oriental magpie robin, bronze cuckoo, collared kingfisher etc.
it was a pity that we didnt get to view the whole exhibition though! we were stuck at a small edge on the fourth floor, didnt manage to see all the prize winning gardens on the sixth :/ but kudos to the organisers for such a beeyootiful fest! the venue was bedecked with 2m tall sprays of orchids and other horticultural displays, must have cost an atomic bomb. but it really was awesome, good for photos.^^
anyway, the whole event was quite surprisingly, a blast! i didnt expect that i would stay until ten. but we did, and we were happily dead tired. or dead tiredly happy i guess. it was a chance to hang out with some juniors, venezia and hui ying also so now at least i feel less guilty for not interacting more with this batch. yup. oh AND THANK YOU DR LIM AND MR YONG FOR DINNER MONEY, plus delicious CAKE and SUSHI! whooooooots.
im freaking out for A levels. a new guilt-trip gland just moved into my brain today. RAAAHHHHHH.
you knew what kinda hot soup you were getting yourself into.
