went to visit grandaunt with mum and grandma and elise at the nursing home today morning. i do believe its my first time in a nursing home! bleh, ashamed.
anyway, it was awesome to see her in good spirits, and to know she still remembered us, though shes not exactly hale and hearty. i felt kinda bad at first cos i never knew till now that she had fallen twice and had been at the nursing home for about a year alr, and this is the first time ive visited her in a while :/ we used to meet every year on qing ming jie to go pray, then afterwards she'd treat us to free drinks from her stall at beach road.

anyway, the place was very peaceful and airy, and the nurses were nice^^. if you were feeling saddistic the whole place looked like a scene from a holocaust movie with all the rows of beds and grandmas of all situations peering at you, bt it was really too tranquil to be malignant; the whole place was like one big benign house with the blood of a lamb painted on its door or something. peace:)

anyway, i hope gu po feels much better soon! i miss going to the temple with her. i dunno why, grandaunts are the special relatives who you might not meet as often or know as well as your grandparents, but you know theyre looking out for you anyway.

listening to gu po, mom and grandmas' conversation made me realise a couple of things:
1)we have to look after ourselves.
2)im surrounded by power women. yeah~ ^^

singapore is a pro at making guilt-tripping advertisements. must be the same wiseguy at MOHA who's behind this spate of moral broadcasts. first it was the gambling one, then the drink-driving one, the smoking one, the litterbug one and now the YOG/family one. and i have no qualms about its effectiveness, just that its getting old. seriously.

when ali doesnt go to the mountain, the mountain must go to ali.
kick me out of my comfort zone, please.
