dear virtual diary,
today is day 2 of being down with the flu. while illness level has generally subsided, am still spewing copious amounts of mucus. second day of being cramped up at home and the result was an explosion.
its always the small things that push things over the edge.
this time, its rather embarrassing to mention, but i will anyway
for the benefit of myself 20 years later when i need something to laugh at,
and also cos to anyone else as a reader, conflict is always interesting to read about. (yeah, read this shit! read it!!!hahaha)
my sis has been creating her own "dressing table" in our bedroom
initially it was a little push trolley for her makeup stuff, then she added a makeshift table, and now a chair.
thing is, it being a bedroom shared between 3 girls (now women, cepting my still-teen sis)
it gets really cramped up, and looks MESSY. imagine if you keep adding furniture in a room, and add stuff on it. you wont notice it at first, but you bet your ass people will begin to.
so being the notsosubtle elder sister, i dumped all the clothes she strewn on her makeup counter and chair back into the closet.
and all hell broke loose.
to be sure, us being girls there was eventually going to be making up and lots of crying and hugging,
but the tears were more inward-directing. i mean, 20 years old and quarelling over bedroom space? reallllyyyyy not mature, nor any scenario i would want to picture myself in again. i mean, mom had to break us up.
dear god, if you decide to prank the mayans (or the doomsday preppers) this 21/12/12, please continue to watch over my family, though we all have different wishes and aspirations, and oftentimes may not understand each other. this may be a tall order for someone who doesnt really believe in you (or any religion's complete perception in you) but i figure you'd want harmony for the world anyway.
7 days more to christmas 2012.
ps: the past seven days have been pretty cool ones! (aside from getting sick, i mean) went along for a guided trail by nparks volunteer uncle tek sing, who is SO KNOWLEDGEABLE about many of the trees in bukit timah! really brings the rainforest to life i think, being able to share in his knowledge while enjoying the lush. (at one point uncle ts just pointed to a random patch of green and went, "see, isnt it beautiful? really is a good subject for some nature painting right?" and i felt all mushy inside like YESSSYOURERIGHTYOUKINDREDSPIRITTTTT!!!! hahahahhaha so ridiculous but yes, it was a soul bonding moment.
got treated to starbucks matcha latte! it was awesome :D and found a unique chillax spot in raffles place in the weekend!
travelled all the way to tampines to be a spare light bulb at TWC2's International Migrants' Day Sports Day but it was a nice event organised by them nevertheless.
