the social network site and their creative means to collect eyeballs.

behold the interactivity of the web!!
now facilitating attention-seeking, whether the other party wants their attention sought or not.

was just popping onto blogger to drop another memory into this digital penseive
(by the way, it was second-cousin QQ's wedding banquet yesterday night and yet another round of catching up with distant relatives. oh and i went to jy's house to make ariel's present and saw all her beautiful crafts, which are more amazing in the flesh.)
when i saw this little pop-up that now allows me to essentially give a virtual shout out to people whom i might know on Google+.
while this sounds like a pretty cool initiative, its motive feels rather transparent:
(calling for shameless advertising, product plugging and serious spammage to increase viewership onto google+ users who dont change their privacy settings)

as always, its a double-edged sword. on the plus side, since opinions are largely the currency of bloggosphere, one can pitch their thoughts more easily to their intended audience. facilitation of discourse and communication, like. on the other hand, being able to trace and observe more easily voices of dissent,  mm........

anyhoo, lets see if this initiative can make google+ more popular, or just piss off its current population.
