reading through my previous post, im seriously appalled. my command of english has totally gone to the dogs.
anyway, this post shall be (hopefully) better. im feeling terribly sick now, so i cant account for anything.
i watched seven pounds yesterday night, and it was seriously touching. i didnt especially enjoy it, but the deepness of the movie came through. in seven pounds will smith is this seriously lang-beied person who doesnt want to live anymore after causing the deaths of 7 people in a road accident, including his wife. so he plans out his suicide (by letting his pet box jellyfish sting him to death in the tub. :( )
but before he does, he splits out his earthly possesions to random (but good-hearted) people who needed help, with the help of his long-time best friend who is a lawyer. and he donated his lymph nodes, corneas and heart to his brother, a random blind meatsalesperson ezra, and his lover who has congenital heart disease and has one month more to live. there's a crap side story where he is impersonating his taxcollector brother in order to reach out to these people, but the main thing is, its a really touching story. albeit a bit slow.
yup. would you have done that? i probably wouldnt have.
volunteered a little while at the christian outreach for the handicapped downstairs today. it was a serious culture shock. i hadnt realised it, but throughout the whole 2.5hours there, my brain had totally detached from my skull. it was alot to absorb, and while i knew that they understood what i am saying, subconciously, it will take me a few more sessions before i can really get used to them. i was in brain freeze for another few moments after i left the care centre; the barrage of questions and thoughts just came later. and gradually.
well, the volunteers down there are really made of mental steel. applause for them.

i like this quote:
"what happened happened, and couldnt have happened any other way."
"how do you know this?"
"we're still alive. "
