listening to "Concerning Hobbits" makes everything feel better.
not really suitable for this period of the year,
where you know that you should not be feeling good about life.
this song makes me think of emigration.
that's how potent it is. :D

materialism is catching up on me. hence the theme photo at the top. i suddenly get the feeling that people in general have too much stuff. looking at supermarkets always bursting full of people, jostling and pushing through endless aisles of redundant stuff wrapped in multi-colour plastic. walking down shophouses selling gifts, flowers, clothes, electronics, and thinking: "at which point of time did the need for all this stuff become necessary?" having ones own camera, handphone, laptop, etc is all very well, but there are consequences.
the whole world seems to operate on Newton's Third Law of Motion.
and you know that as the human race falls deeper into the snakepit that is consumerism, there's no way to undone what has been done. because if that happens, "many people are going to lose their jobs.". that is economy's number one excuse.
dont mean to be insensitive to anyone with or without a job. just take this as the opinion of a non-working girl feeding off taxpayer money, with many questions but zero solutions. sustainability doesnt seem to be an option when there are so many necessary factors coming into play.

went to "support" yezi and lichen today! if any moral/physical strength was drawn from my being present, that is.
